When I was dx with Migraines I was taking a sub-lingual pill called Maxalt (this does work) you have to take one tablet and place it under your tongue as you feel a migraine coming on. I have been on Topamax for almost 2 months now and in the beginning, I had the tingling bad in my feet and hands. I heard the weightloss effect depends on the dose. I have struggled with my weight since adolescence, and am thrilled to say that Topamax has really given me no other problems except a few weird tingling sensations in my feet, but I can deal. It will help lessen the pain with the migraine or sometimes will stop it. This way of thinking is counter productive and dangerous in some cases. I only started losing a little weight at 75 mg. On imitrex as well, it does not work either.
